Ryland Turns ONE!
What a fun day I have had! All my family and some of my friends joined me to celebrate my first birthday. Grandmom made me a maple cake with yummy icing, Adalee opened all my presents and I ate dirt for the first time. What else could a little guy such as myself ask for?
Our family is a happy one. We play, dance, sing and make funny faces all the time. On any given Saturday you can find us making pancakes, listening to the radio and playing dress up.
We love to go on walks downtown and around the woods. Adalee likes to find little trinkets to take home with her and put in her "Nature box". Ryland likes to be carried in the Ergo. Snug up against Mommy or Daddy is how Adalee and Ryland seem to like it best.
On many afternoons, our friends come over to our house and surprise us with dinner or a good story.
Mommy and Daddy love reading books. Some of our favorite books are Today I feel Silly By Jamie Lee Curtis and I'm in Charge of Celebrations by Byrd Baylor. Mommy picks books out of the library and Adalee looks at them over and over again.
Mostly, our family is a happy one.
